  • Changing Medicaid by expanding eligibility was one of the worst things they could have done with "Health Care Reform." Why? #
  • Because feds aren't paying for it, and states will assuredly slash "optional" programs like home care to pay for the new unfunded mandates. #
  • That means more shattered families & life for people with disabilities (esp. in the South) is about to get worse. Good thing I fled Alabama. #

  • The upside of a Mac is you can focus on actual computing instead of minor or major hassles with troubleshooting problems ALL THE TIME! #
  • and that saves serious time and money, more than offsetting the extra costs. #
  • The first day of adjusting to Mac is hard, because I so used to Windows interface. But after the adjusting phase, you see how good OS X is. #

  • Three different nurses we had were later jailed for sex crimes, two others were took my meds, and an half-a-dozen or more stole from us #

  • I'm on day 11 of being home with girl. So far we've met 9 home nurses, most of them have been very good. #
  • I really like my young Polish immigrant nurse who's eager to work, my Iowa farm girl art major nurse, and a really experienced night nurse #
  • Fortunately there's only been one nurse I've been really uncomfortable that she's UNSAFE, from the secondary backup agency…and #
  • the new nurse tonight, nurse #9, is not explicitly dangerous to my health, just hazardous for my sanity. She was haranguing me to stop eatin #
  • She said eating as late as 10pm is too risky, make u sick. Eating at 10 will upset stomach but eating at 9 won't? They teach that to nurses? #
  • I finally just gave up trying to finish eating, to stop the unending harangue. After cost-benefit analysis, continuing to eat = not worth it #
  • This building is more secure than the Green Zone but she won't stop worrying aloud that us cracking our door is dangerous #
  • she keeps repeating "if someone comes in, I'm hiding behind you." And once said, "get a revolver!" #
