I was one of those retarded doctors who liked to go visit the homes of people who were having trouble getting around. Think I ever got paid for those, no matter how carefully I documented the encounter? I gave up. I didn't stop going, but I gave up billing for them. And they happened after work or on a slow day's lunch, when I wouldn't cut into the all-important office visit volume. YET ANOTHER ridiculous way of screwing individuals with acute or chronic problems into assisted, expensive care and out of their homes. Talk to me about house calls!
