The two things are different; being gay or straight isn't about who you sleep with, but rather who you fall in love with. But any two human beings have the potential of helping get one another off, so to speak. This is especially true in situations where people have great power over one another - so you have a great deal of same-sex sexual activity going on in boarding schools, prisons and so on, but it's a kind of shared masturbation, nothing to do with someone's innate wiring. <br><br>Whether this happens in societies where women are present but rare, I don't know. I was lead to believe that brothels were a roaring trade in British North America because a small group of women could "service" a large community of men, and be very well off by it. Straight men will always aspire to be with women - that won't go away. And yes, a load of sexually-frustrated young men is no good for anyone - especially women. <br><br>Hopefully, apart from an end to female infanticide (because daughters will become valuable), there will just be more movement of people. The effect should be limited to one generation of people, so hopefully those young men will simply move about, within their country and around the world.
