I find your writing inspiring, not depressing. You usually sound passionate about the issues your examine rather than just down in the mouth about them. Fight on!

For all the passion of us activists (I am a militant communist in both organizing and direct action), united states people in particular never get out there and RESIST. What does happen is left to fringe radicals, of which I am one, that often do stupid things that marginalize us even further. Instead of change from within, we look to Obama, who works with the system (our collective boss), for that change. It's just another excuse not to act. Even Katrina didn't wake us up. It's infuriating. No wonder I'm moving to Europe!

I've been accused of this in the past, myself, from my eljay blog. But I can't help it - I agree with you. Injustice of any sort needs to be exposed in the light of day so that everyone can see it and take action against it.

When difficult issues are addressed with wit and reflection, even the most depressing issue can come alive.

It never even occurred to me that some would see an activist's blog as depressing. Rather, I'm glad to see people fighting the good fight. Makes me think there's hope for humanity yet.
